This is a Ministry of Prison Fellowship to Ex-offenders who have been recently paroled and are trying to re-establish their lives after prison. Life for an ex-offender is doubly hard; they feel like a marked person—an untouchable in our tough-on-crime culture. Many have tried to develop their faith behind bars, but, once leaving prison, find it hard to connect to local churches. Aftercare helps churches begin a relationship with a parolee months before they are released so trust can grow and plans can be made to help them re-enter our communities and, hopefully, their families. Our ministry seeks to break the cycle that sends many men and women back to prison for lack of family, community or economic support. Crossroads currently supports In-Prison Ministries and Angel Tree (for the children and spouses of inmates). We are seeking a team leader to help complete the circle and oversee a quality aftercare ministry as well. If you feel compassion for this need, contact Darrell Dail about how to help us start this ministry.
