Angel Tree Ministries are involved in much more than the familiar Christmas-time project for children of prisoners. The ministry reaches out to children and families of prisoners all year long. Summer camps and similar events are planned where children get together for fun and spiritual encouragement. Crossroads participates in ‘One Day With God’ events where prisoners from minimum security prisons are united with their children outside the prison walls for a God-centered day of fun and sharing. These and other mentoring opportunities can help prevent the cycle that often sends the children of inmates into the prison system themselves.
