Mike and Linda direct a world wide church planting ministry to the Deaf. Their primary strategy is training Deaf church planters to plant Deaf culture churches within their own countries. They use a sign language familiar to the church planter and his country.
They learn in sign language 250+ chronological bible stories by MEMORY; they have DVD archives to refer to as well. Once church planters have begun mastering the Bible stories, they are also taught basic pastoral duties and skills.They learn how to evangelize, baptize, marry, bury, resolve conflict biblically, delegate duties within a deaf church etc. Mike and Linda and their board raise most of the budget required to continue and expand this global mission. They also continue to train their staff and direct their collaboration among each continent to continually improve their teaching and training methods.
Crossroads Fellowship has adopted the Deaf worldwide as our un-reached people group. Specifically we have chosen to “own” and eventually finance the entire India Deaf Training Center and ministry. We are at about 40% now and hope to keep increasing our support for India until we are underwriting it entirely. Mike and Linda are members of CRF and attend here as they can. They travel extensively and also help church-planting efforts in their own neighborhood in an adjacent county.
