Steve & Toby Hopper w/GAiN (Worldwide)

Steve was on staff with Crossroads Fellowship for fourteen years serving in a variety of pastoral roles. He received the Lord’s call to pursue ministry with GAiN (Global Aid Netword) after joining Toby on a mission trip to the former Soviet Union.

Toby had made many short-term missions trips to a variety of destinations in the former Soviet Union, visiting orphanages and other facilities housing children and adults needing a great deal of humanitarian assistance. It was during his first mission trip with Toby that Steve was deeply touched by the people he met and by the role that GAiN was playing in reaching these people with the love of Jesus Christ.

Since the time he received his first calling, Steve and Toby officially joined GAiN’s staff in 2006, making their homebase in Dallas, Texas, at the GAiN USA office. In his role with GAiN, Steve serves as the Director of Project Development. Toby works in the office supporting staff members and volunteers. Both continue to travel abroad extensively. Steve and Toby are empty-nesters who have successfully raised three sons, now all married: Steve and Adrienne, Christopher and Susan, David and Merrill. They are thrilled to be grandparents to Joshua and Timothy.

GAiN, the humanitarian aid arm of Campus Crusade for Christ, uses compassionate resources such as food, clothing, medical and school supplies, and even teddy bears to reach needy adults and children with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. GAiN (Global Aid Network) missionaries like to say that the ministry is compassion-driven and Great Commission-focused.
