Prison Fellowship serves in local prisons and correctional institutions around the country. Here in Wake & Johnson County there is a county-wide team organized to provide the love, concern, and hope of the gospel to everyone touched by crime, including prisoners, ex-offenders, victims, and families (children, youth and family) of those incarcerated. Prison Fellowship’s mission is to exhort, equip, and assist the Church in its ministry to prisoners, ex-prisoners, victims, and their families, and to promote biblical standards of justice in the criminal justice system. Volunteers serve where best suited to their particular gifts, interests, and local needs.
Prison Fellowship also provides instruction, materials, and resource information to local churches as they establish Aftercare Support Groups. Prison Fellowship seeks to partner with churches to establish on-going relationships that will offer assistance and care to prisoners and to the community at large.
