 The Music Ministry at Crossroads carries an awesome and intense responsibility: to lead the people in celebrative and sincere worship. When our music leads people to the heart of God, the result is passionate worship and service. The talents of musicians come together to provide an atmosphere that encourages a dynamic and spirit-filled environment. On any given Sunday we may use a secular rewrite, a hymn, an old jazz standard and a current worship chorus, all for the glory of God with the goal of connecting our heart to His. FOUNDATION FOR WORSHIP Our goal is to worship the Lord with excellence and inspire the congregation as we "bring the best of the first fruits...to the house of the Lord." (Exodus 23:19) Achieving this goal of excellence comes from committed and dedicated servants, who take time to be "trained and skilled" to produce the excellence of which our Lord is deserving. However, refining of talents is only beneficial after the refining of the heart. In worship at Crossroads, the first issue is one's heart for God. We cannot do what we do apart from the One who gifted us. When God anoints His music, there is an awesome power that He unleashes to penetrate hearts, minds and souls.
