technical arts ministry
The Technical Arts Ministry is one of the newest and most challenging, yet rewarding ministries available at Crossroads. We have been charged with the awesome task of utilizing all audio, video, media, and lighting capabilities to enhance our worship experience and provide quality productions for our congregation.

We as a Technical Arts ministry hold to ten core values that drive everything we do within our ministry:

-Creativity and Variety - We hope that people experience something new, every time they come to a program.

-Excellence - We do the best we can with what we have to produce quality technical art.

-Rehearsal/Practice - We understand our need to be in a constant state of growth in our craft and practice and rehearsal will provide that.

-Volunteerism - It is our goal to build a thriving and effective team of volunteers to serve in every capacity of the technical arts ministry. Staff is only there to support and help develop this team. Staff will never take the place of a qualified volunteer.

-Life Management - It is each persons individual responsibility to prioritize their own life and develop the disciplines of knowing when to say yes and when to say no.

-God First - God is our ultimate priority. It is our responsibility to always keep Him as our focus and to be spending consistent time with Him. We never want "doing" ministry to push away "being" in ministry.

-Stewardship - We want to be responsible and wise with how we use the funds available to us.

-Honesty - It is important for us to keep short accounts with each other and always be willing to receive as well as give constructive criticism.

-Preparation - We understand that our performance is nothing more than a reflection of our preparation. We will diligently strive to be as prepared as possible without closing the door to God's spontaneity.

-Artistry - We understand that what we do within the technical realm is art, and we will treat it as such by using our whole heart as well as our mind to best use our instrument.

Of all of these values, the most important is "God First" and it is through Him and for Him that we do what we do. If we keep this as our focus, then our ministry can truly be considered a success.
